Excuse Me
This started as something entirely different than what it ended up to be. Sorry, Annie, I just couldn't write it any other way. ;-)
Hmmmm...where in the timeline should we put this, not that it really matters. ;-) Let's say season six around the time of "One Small Step", Tom and B'Elanna seemed pretty content and happy then, even playful.
Thanks to Senior for the beta reading.

Excuse Me?
by: Tracy Sobieski
"I want you flat on your back, in -my- bed tonight," Tom whispered in her ear during the morning briefing.
B'Elanna turned to him, eyes wide with disbelief. This was bold...and dangerous. It sounded almost like a -demand-. He couldn't be serious.
Grabbing her hand under the cover of the table he placed it firmly on his erection. "The entire night, too."
"Excuse me?" she asked out loud, not giving a damn that everyone was now looking at them. If she thought it would get him to back down, she was woefully mistaken, however.
"You heard me," Tom replied calmly, with a touch of ice? Then he turned and apologized to the Captain for the interruption.
B'Elanna simmered through the rest of the briefing, anger slowly bubbling up to a rolling boil. When it was over she followed him out, giving his sleeve a sharp, angry tug.
"Just -what- was that all about?" she hissed under her breath so only he could hear.
"Precisely what you think it was," he told her simply then turned to take the helm.
B'Elanna stood, slightly shocked for a moment then stalked off to Engineering. If he thought all he had to do was -order- her to his bed and she would fall into it, he had another thing coming.
For the rest of the day anyone unlucky enough to cross her path ran the risk of incurring her wrath. By the time her shift ended she wanted blood... specifically Tom Paris'.
She flung her uniform jacket on the couch in her living room as soon as she walked into her quarters. Pulling her turtleneck up and over her head as she headed for the shower, stopping when she noticed the little piece of paper on her pillow. Dropping the shirt to the floor she picked the card up.
I said my bed.
B'Elanna stood there, slack-jawed for a moment, staring at the short note, contemplating the most painful way to end his life. Then she stormed out of her quarters.

Tom glanced at the time with a small grin. B'Elanna would be here any second. And she suddenly was, flying into the room in a whirlwind of fury.
She wasn't three feet into his quarters when he picked her up and tossed her onto his bed after a few swift strides. He was on her before she could roll away. She growled and surged against him but Tom weighed twice what she did. He didn't budge.
"You're late," he told her, smugly.
"And you're delusional if you think I'm here to 'service' you."
"That's -exactly- why you're here," he said huskily, brushing his lips along the hard line of her jaw.
Fighting the rush of heat that threatened to engulf her, B'Elanna turned her head away from him. "You really need to get to Sick-bay, you -must- have suffered a recent head injury."
His hands were slowly inching her tank top up, the backs of his fingers brushing along her ribs, sending little lightening bolts of desire straight through her.
"The Doc can't help with what's bothering me, B'Elanna."
His tongue laved the soft hollow under her ear. She couldn't stop the shiver of pleasure. The bastard knew her body far too well.
"You keep this up... and he'll be the -only- one who can help you," she growled.
He raised up to look down on her with that damned lopsided grin of his and she felt herself become wet.
"No talking," he told her, then captured her mouth, his tongue delving deep.
She was able to resist him for all of ten seconds. Much to her annoyance, his high-handed arrogant attitude had excited her more than she wanted to admit.

Slowly she began to untangle herself from the knot of limbs and blankets they had managed to end up in. Rising to leave the bed, she was startled when he drew her back down.
"No," he whispered and tightened his arms around her. "All night, remember?"
B'Elanna's eyes widened with realization. "Is that what this was all about?!"
"You can't kick me out of my own bed," Tom said kissing the back of her neck. "And I'm not about to let you -leave- it either."
"Paris, you're a pig."
"But I'm your pig, B'Elanna."
"I just thought you would sleep better since I had such and early shift. I didn't want to disturb you."
"I don't sleep better alone."
Closing her eyes with a smile, she snuggled back into his embrace. "Good."
